Important: To avoid malfunctions of the Dash Cam and / or SD-card, don’t insert and remove SD-card during Dash Cam operation.
Important: Before using a microSD card, please format it inside the Dash Cam to avoid data errors.
Important: Do not use an Android smartphone / tablet as a card reader to connect to a PC and download firmware directly to a memory card from the smartphone / tablet menu.
- If the update file is '*****.bin'*, copy it to the root directory of your memory card.
IMPORTANT: In case of re-downloading, the file may be named '*****(1).bin', '*****(2).bin', etc. In this case it should be renamed.
- If the update file is an archive, unzip it and move ALL unzipped files to the root directory of the memory card.
Important: Do not turn off the Dash Cam or disconnect the charger!
* Depending on the device model, the update file may also have the name: 'FW96650A.bin', 'FW96655A.bin', 'FW96658A.bin' or 'FW96660A.bin'.
DVR models with a built-in Wi-Fi module can be updated via the Navitel DVR Center app.
Before updating your device over Wi-Fi, make sure that a serviceable and correctly formatted memory card is installed in the DVR.
You can check availability of new firmware for your DVR model in the DVR Player program (for Windows PCs) version 1.4.2.1132 and higher. When connecting the dash camera to the computer, select "File" - "Check DVR update" in the program menu. If there is an update, you will be prompted to install it. Updating via DVR Player may not be available for all DVR models.
